About Irene

Irene Kuo is the Director of Prime Contract Management at Fluor Australia Pty Ltd and a seasoned legal professional with over 18 years’ experience in commercial contracts and front-end construction law. Previously, Irene held senior in-house roles at Rio Tinto and Fortescue Ltd, where she contributed to complex projects, including new mine developments and renewable energy initiatives. Recognised for her articulate and strategic approach, she excels in drafting, negotiating, and managing construction and procurement contracts, consistently pre-empting and meeting commercial needs. As the Western Australian Divisional President of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Australia, Irene is a champion for collaboration, innovation, and diversity within the legal profession. Her commitment to technology-driven legal solutions and inclusion was recognised with the Diversity Leader award from the Asian Australian Lawyers Association in February 2024. Irene’s passion for legal technology, her dedication to fostering inclusive professional communities, and her extensive experience across large-scale projects make her a respected leader and advocate in the legal industry.
